Happy and You Know It

Be happy! How? Let’s Move!  Do an hour of physical activity a day—whether it’s playing a sport, jumping rope, dancing, or just about anything else that you think is fun, indoors or out. It’s one of 5 “simple steps to success”  to become a healthy adult.
Parents play a big role in helping their children stay at a healthy weight. Two ways: Eat healthier foods and be more active as a family. Learn more about why healthy weight is important  and what you can do to instill healthy habits in your children to last a lifetime.
What’s going on in your school’s cafeteria? Promote healthy alternatives, and encourage your students to select wisely when they have a choice along the lunch line , as has occurred in other schools across the country.
