Sippin Cider

Bats use echoes to understand where they are and what is around them. Watch a scientist explain her research on bats and their brains . She thinks that what she has learned about bats may apply to humans, too.
Bats being hit by a disease called white-nose syndrome. The decline of the bat population may affect other species, including humans. For examples, bats eat many insects that would otherwise harm crops. Read more about the issue, including checking the whether white-nose syndrome is affecting bats in your county .
This song is an “echo,” which also stands for Enforcement Compliance and History Online, a program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency . Using your zip code, you can search for facilities in your community to assess their compliance with environmental regulations. You can also investigate pollution sources, examine and create enforcement-related maps, or explore your state's performance.
