Climb Ev'ry Mountain ("The Sound of Music")

Whether you climb a mountain, ford a stream, or just take a brisk walk, physical activity helps maintain a healthy weight. Learn how many calories you will burn doing different forms of activity.
It’s not about the mountain, it’s about the dream! What do you want to do in life? If you are curious and like adventures, maybe you will be a scientist.
Haze is caused when sunlight encounters tiny pollution particles in the air, which reduce the clarity and color of what we see, particularly during humid conditions. Check out photos of a Great Smoky Mountain vista with and without haze, then view current conditions through a webcam set up at the National Park.

Music by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II

Climb every mountain, search high and low
Follow every byway, every path you know.
Climb every mountain, ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow, 'til you find your dream!

A dream that will need
all the love you can give,
Every day of your life
for as long as you live.

Climb every mountain, ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow, 'til you find your dream!

From the musical  "The Sound of Music" (1959). Performed by Julie Andrews as "Maria," in the 1965 movie.
