Red River Valley

From this valley they say you are going
We will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile
For they say you are taking the sunshine
That has brightened our path for a while

And the cowboy who loved you so true

North America has two rivers named the Red River. One runs through North Dakota. The other runs through Texas. What can make them and other rivers polluted? Many things, including dirt, bacteria, and nutrients. NIEHS studies how polluted rivers can affect our health.
