Environmental Leadership Activities at NIEHS

The NIEHS has received a Wildlife and Industry Together (WAIT) certification from the North Carolina Wildlife Federation. The WAIT certification program is focused on keeping natural ecosystems at the NIEHS campus and teaching workers about native animal species.

NIEHS has developed a trail brochure that describes plant and animal life for 15 points of interest along the self-guided NIEHS Lake hiking trail.
